Salary: $184,000—$230,000 USD (Tier 1: NYC/SF); geographic adjustment for other US locations.

What you will do

• Optimize and oversee customer/vendor contracting cycles, including negotiation and drafting of commercial agreements.
• Build and maintain contracting playbooks, policies, escalation frameworks, and repository management.
• Design and implement AI-assisted workflows like prompt templates, review checklists, and intake pipelines; train team on compliant AI use.
• Monitor new laws/regulations impacting commercial business and advise stakeholders.
• Build in-house commercial legal function and contribute to cross-functional projects.
• Drive continuous improvements and close strategic deals proactively.

Requirements

• 3-5+ years combined experience at top-tier law firm and in-house, focused on commercial/corporate matters.
• Demonstrated AI use for legal tasks (review, research, drafting) and workflow design.
• JD from accredited law school; member in good standing of US state bar.
• Strong prioritization, communication, and independent/team work in fast-paced environment.
• Preference for hybrid work in NYC, SF, or Salt Lake City offices.

Nice to have

• Experience in consumer lending, fintech, or proptech.
