What you will do

• Define and execute legal strategies for assigned business units to align with regulatory frameworks and global objectives.
• Represent the company independently in regulatory matters, commercial negotiations, and agency interactions.
• Provide authoritative legal counsel to senior leadership on federal regulations and cross-border legal issues.
• Lead the drafting of regulatory filings, board resolutions, and strategic business contracts.
• Evaluate and manage investigations and litigation matters using sound risk management.
• Drive compliance excellence and operational discipline across global functions.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) or equivalent law degree.
• Admission to the bar required.
• 8+ years of legal experience with significant exposure to financial services and federal regulation.
• Proven success in advising senior stakeholders within complex regulatory environments.
• Deep understanding of capital markets, exchanges, or financial services regulatory frameworks.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills for working across global teams.

Nice to have

• Direct experience with equities, options, or exchange-traded products (ETPs).
• Familiarity with federal agency rulemaking and cross-border regulatory coordination.
• Prior senior legal experience at exchanges, broker-dealers, or regulated financial institutions.
• Experience working with CFTC regulated markets.
