What you will do
- Act as the primary technical liaison between the client, design engineers, and subtrades for a major hospital project.
- Perform site reviews and construction administration services, preparing detailed site reports and documentation.
- Coordinate and review RFIs, Site Instructions, and structural shop drawings with the design team.
- Monitor contractor compliance with technical and contractual terms throughout the construction stage.
- Analyze structural inspection and testing reports (geotechnical, concrete, steel) for project close-out.
- Conduct regular QA/QC reviews and attend Health & Safety coordination meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Structural specialization) or Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology (Structural).
- Minimum 5 years of structural experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of concrete and structural steel design and construction.
- Ability to perform physical site reviews, including working from heights, using scaffolding and ladders.
- Knowledge of building codes, standards, and Ministry of Labour (MOL) health and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Bluebeam Revu.
Nice to have
- Registered Professional Engineer with PEO.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
