What you will do

• Audit and manage consumer-facing legal surfaces, including checkout flows, terms of service, and FTC endorsement guidelines.
• Review and negotiate commercial contracts, retail partnerships, vendor agreements, and affiliate terms.
• Negotiate hedge fund subscription agreements, side letters, and LP terms for the investment team.
• Manage custody documentation, bank relationships, loan facility renewals, and investment security protocols.
• Structure asset protection across multiple international jurisdictions and oversee personal dispute management.
• Deliver monthly legal exposure audits and conduct quarterly compliance sweeps across all business operations.

Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school and barred in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 5–10 years of legal experience, ideally combining law firm and in-house roles.
• AI fluency: Active use of AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) for legal research, drafting, and risk identification.
• Ability to operate as a sole legal resource and independently manage multiple outside counsel relationships.
• Proven track record of proactively identifying material legal risks without external direction.
• Comfort working across multiple international jurisdictions and coordinating cross-border legal work.

Nice to have

• Background in corporate/commercial law at a BigLaw or mid-market firm.
• Experience with fund finance, LP agreements, or NAV-based lending.
• Familiarity with DTC e-commerce regulatory environments and consumer protection law (FTC, state statutes).
• Experience supporting corporate transactions or due diligence processes.
• Experience working with high-net-worth individuals or family offices.
