TL;DR

Location: Hybrid; must be based in London, England (minimum 3 days per week in office)

What you will do

• Partner at the strategic pillar level to define technical strategy and investment priorities.
• Lead 0-to-1 work streams, assembling teams and disambiguating complex problem spaces under tight timelines.
• Execute hands-on coding for the most ambiguous, high-stakes AI features.
• Conduct A/B tests, prompt engineering, and build evaluations to calibrate LLM accuracy, cost, and latency.
• Shape long-term architecture, transitioning from GUI-first to agent-first interfaces.
• Mentor and accelerate senior and staff engineers to raise the overall technical bar within the organization.

Requirements

• 10+ years of engineering experience with a proven track record of driving complex projects across multiple teams.
• Deep engineering ability combined with strong product and design instincts.
• Experience operating large-scale distributed systems in production.
• AI fluency, including active experimentation with AI-assisted development tools.
• Exceptional communication skills to align leadership and technical teams.
• Extreme autonomy and the ability to translate business goals into technical decisions.

Nice to have

• Experience with Ruby on Rails, React, and AWS.
