Associate Staff Hardware Engineer - HW Tools IoT

Location: Oslo, Norway

Annualized base pay: NOK 699,650–1,299,350, plus potential annual cash bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Design embedded systems and develop hardware architectures.
• Create board schematics and PCB layouts for development tools.
• Build and validate prototypes in the laboratory.
• Apply design-for-manufacturing principles and follow up with contract manufacturers.
• Develop automated hardware test systems for circuit board production.
• Document designs and support delivery of development kits.

Requirements

• MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent education.
• 5+ years of professional experience in electronics design; advanced education or extensive relevant experience may reduce the minimum.
• Deep knowledge of the full electronic circuit design lifecycle, including manufacturing and production testing.
• Experience with low-power design, microcontrollers, wireless microcontrollers, and FPGAs.
• Proficiency with schematic capture tools, automation, and scripting.
• Understanding of embedded software and hardware–firmware–software interaction, together with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Altium Designer.
• Knowledge of C and Python.
