What you will do

  • Develop mechanical concepts and detailed designs for underwater sensor systems through completed systems.
  • Design watertight pressure housings for significant ocean depths, including seals, mechanical interfaces, and penetrators.
  • Create layouts and mounting solutions for PCBs, electronic modules, cabling, and system interfaces.
  • Design frames, support structures, lifting points, and handling arrangements for installation, deployment, and recovery.
  • Perform structural and strength calculations, select suitable materials, and prepare 3D models, manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings, cable diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Support suppliers, production, testing, and continuous improvement while collaborating with electronics and systems engineering teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, Product Development, or a related discipline.
  • Strong competence in 3D CAD and mechanical design.
  • Experience with structural and strength calculations for mechanical components and structures, including FEM.
  • Clear communication, technical knowledge sharing, independence, initiative, and a structured, solutions-oriented approach.
  • Employment may require a pre-employment check in accordance with company security standards, role, or site requirements.

Nice to have

  • Experience with subsea technology, underwater equipment, or marine systems.
