Field Service Engineer (Electrical Automation)

Location: Hybrid role based in Oslo, Bergen, Stavanger, or Trondheim, Norway; approximately 80–100 travel days per year, including customer sites in Norway and internationally.

What you will do

• Commission, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade electrical, automation, and digital solutions at customer sites.
• Prepare and carry out service assignments involving drives, power systems, PLCs, HMIs, networks, UPS systems, and digital solutions.
• Identify technical issues, resolve them safely, and document completed work.
• Provide technical recommendations and support to customers and internal teams.
• Work independently and with multidisciplinary teams across service and project activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and reliable equipment operation.

Requirements

• Education in electrical engineering, automation, or a related technical discipline.
• Relevant experience or strong interest in field service, commissioning, troubleshooting, industrial automation, drives, or power systems.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in both Norwegian and English.
• Ability to work independently at customer sites and collaborate in cross-functional teams.
• Systematic and safety-focused approach with a strong customer focus.
• Willingness to travel approximately 80–100 days per year.

Nice to have

• Experience in field service, maintenance, industrial automation, energy, offshore, or other technically demanding environments.
• Experience with electrical systems, automation equipment, or digital solutions.
