TL;DR
Director, Strategic Investment Partnering (Finance): Managing and evolving the investment portfolio for LBCM and Markets Platform with an accent on strategic alignment, financial robustness, and growth strategy. Focus on translating high-level strategic goals into actionable investment cases and managing complex multi-year portfolio risks.
Location: Hybrid: Must spend at least two days per week (40% of time) at one of the office sites in Edinburgh, Bristol, or London

What you will do
- Shape and evolve the LBCM & Markets Platform investment portfolio to ensure alignment with 2030 growth strategy.
- Partner with senior leaders across Product, Coverage, and Finance to provide financial perspectives and support trade-offs.
- Drive the development of high-quality, transparent investment cases with robust cost-benefit analysis.
- Identify and plan for future-state capabilities, resourcing, and operating model needs.
- Manage portfolio-level governance, risks, and interdependencies to enable executive decision-making.
Requirements
- 5+ years of demonstrable strategic, commercial, and financial judgement in complex environments.
- 5+ years of experience within Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB), LBCM, or Markets businesses.
- Proven ability to build credible relationships and influence senior stakeholders in a matrix organization.
- Track record of making and standing behind strategic decisions under conditions of uncertainty.
- Strong expertise in portfolio governance, planning, tracking, and reporting.
- Experience in operating model build, process transformation, or digital/technology change.
