Business Development Director (Defence & Intelligence): Creating new opportunities by identifying, engaging, and converting Defence Industry organisations with an accent on building networks across manufacturers, suppliers, and partners. Focus on leading end-to-end sales cycles, shaping territory strategies, and driving complex tenders and bids.
Location: Hybrid in Canberra. Australian Citizenship and eligibility for Government Security Clearance (Baseline or above) required.

What you will do
- Identify and win new customers across Defence manufacturers and suppliers.
- Build and leverage a strong network across the Defence Industry ecosystem.
- Shape and lead end-to-end sales cycles from prospecting through to close.
- Shape and execute territory and account strategies.
- Own pipeline, forecasting, and opportunity strategy using CRM.
- Drive tenders, bids, and navigate complex deals, partnering with pre-sales, product, and leadership.
Requirements
- Proven success in new business sales with hunter mindset.
- Strong experience selling into Defence industry or adjacent sectors.
- Experience closing complex, high-value enterprise deals.
- Deep understanding of Defence Industry ecosystem, stakeholders, and buying cycles.
- Experience managing long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
- Expertise in structured sales methodologies (MEDDIC, Challenger, etc.).
- Australian Citizenship.
- Eligibility for Government Security Clearance (Baseline or above).
