TL;DR
Appian Architect (Low-Code): Designing and delivering enterprise-grade Appian applications for federal government clients with an accent on architectural strategy, security integrations, and platform scalability. Focus on coordinating with specialized infrastructure teams for firewall, PKI, and ICAM/PIV integrations to resolve complex technical blockers.
Location: Remote (Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder and be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance)
Salary: $175,000 – $190,000

What you will do
- Lead the development of technical blueprints and architectural roadmaps for Appian solutions aligned with business goals.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams to manage firewall rules, PKI certificates, and ICAM/PIV authentication flows.
- Act as the primary technical authority, conducting code reviews and providing oversight to development teams.
- Design and implement robust integration strategies between Appian and enterprise systems using REST/SOAP.
- Maintain and update CI/CD pipeline infrastructure on Jenkins and GitLab.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers while establishing a Center of Excellence (CoE) for the Appian practice.
Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in Appian, with at least 5+ years in a lead or solution architect role.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder and be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
- Deep expertise in Appian Process Models, SAIL, Records, Reports, Integrations, and Security.
- Strong proficiency in relational databases, SQL, and software design patterns.
- Appian Certified Lead Consultant or Application Architect certification is highly preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills for articulating technical risks and benefits to senior leadership.
Nice to have
- Experience with Appian Cloud administration and DevOps practices.
- Java programming knowledge for custom plug-in development.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with other low-code/no-code platforms.
