Director, Chief Solutions Architect (Health)

Director, Chief Solutions Architect (Health): Lead development of compliant technical and business solutions for Health and Human Services government programs with an accent on enterprise architecture, cloud-scale applications, and AI/ML integration. Focus on designing data analytics pipelines, API implementations, and DevSecOps strategies while owning proposal technical narratives and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Location: Hybrid work environment in Columbia, MD, Eastern Time Zone (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM ET). Occasional travel (<5% per year).

Salary: $200,000 - 270,000

What you will do

• Lead innovative solutions for mid-to-large HHS programs based on RFP analysis, defining needs, outcomes, and technologies.
• Develop technical designs, architectures for data analytics, AI/ML, data pipelines, app development, and APIs.
• Own systems design and technical narratives for proposals, RFIs, RFPs, and white papers.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, data science, and strategy teams for agile enterprise systems.
• Work with SMEs, CTO, partners, and leadership on proposals and strategic customer meetings.
• Stay ahead of digital trends and integrate into business strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related (or 5+ extra years experience)
• 15+ years total experience; 10+ in enterprise architecture (cloud apps, data engineering, AI/ML, DevSecOps)
• 10+ years delivering tech solutions for large-scale government cloud; 5+ in solution architecture for HHS pursuits
• Advocate for agile, HCD, DevSecOps; challenge status quo for innovation.
• Experience presenting solutions to stakeholders for adoption.
• Exceptional written/verbal communication and government proposal writing.

Nice to have

• Cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure), Engineering DevSecOps, or SAFe certifications.
