Salary: $150,000 - $185,000/year + bonus

What you will do

• Eliminate developer friction points such as slow type-checking and painful onboarding through automation and tooling.
• Lead large-scale architectural initiatives by writing RFCs and building consensus across engineering teams.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across the full stack, including client rendering, GraphQL latency, and database queries.
• Improve organizational code quality by authoring custom lint rules and maintaining type-safe code generation pipelines.
• Optimize CI workflows for speed and reliability while managing critical dependencies and pnpm workspaces.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience with Node/TypeScript, React, React Native, GraphQL, and Postgres.
• Proven expertise in performance optimization, observability, and diagnosing issues via metrics and traces.
• Experience leading large-scale codebase migrations using a safe, incremental approach.
• Ability to author technical strategy documents and RFCs to drive engineering alignment.
• Must be based in the USA.

Nice to have

• Experience with GitHub Actions and E2E testing frameworks.
• Knowledge of mobile-specific concerns such as native build tooling and over-the-air updates.
• Hands-on experience with large-scale TypeScript + GraphQL stacks and pnpm workspaces.
