Reliability Engineer II (MedTech)

TL;DR

Reliability Engineer II (MedTech): Ensuring the performance, reliability, and safety of neurovascular products by designing and executing test plans with an accent on risk mitigation and data-driven design decisions. Focus on conducting technical reliability studies, developing mathematical models for failure risks, and implementing statistical process control.

Location: Onsite in Irvine, CA (minimum 4 days a week)

Salary: $84,800 - $127,200 USD

What you will do

• Conduct technical reliability studies and Design of Experiments (DOE) to evaluate engineering design concepts.
• Recommend design/test methods and statistical process control (SPC) procedures to achieve required reliability levels.
• Perform risk analysis studies on new designs and processes to mitigate potential failures.
• Analyze performance reports and process control statistics to investigate variables affecting products.
• Develop reliability engineering programs aligned with company and governmental agency objectives.
• Propose changes in design or formulation to improve overall system and process reliability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline with minimum 2 years’ experience, OR an Advanced degree in engineering.
• Must possess unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire; sponsorship (H-1B, TN, J, etc.) is not available for this level.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Irvine, CA.
• Ability to travel less than 20% to ensure successful project completion.

Nice to have

• Experience in neurovascular or vascular medical device development.
• Experience supporting Class III medical devices within a regulated environment.
• Proficiency in risk management tools such as FMEA and fault tree analysis.
• Working knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and reliability modeling.
