TL;DR

Location: Hybrid (Milwaukee, WI) - 3 days in office required. US Work Authorization required (no visa sponsorship)

What you will do

  • Handle low to moderate exposure personal lines marine claims.
  • Analyze policies and documents to confirm coverage and draft position letters independently.
  • Conduct and direct investigations into loss facts and the extent of damages.
  • Evaluate liability and damages to determine exposure and set reserves.
  • Negotiate and settle claims directly with claimants.
  • Identify subrogation opportunities and potential fraud.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • US Work Authorization required; no visa sponsorship provided now or in the future.
  • Eligibility to receive and maintain necessary claims adjuster licenses.
  • 2–5 years of claims handling experience (preferred).
  • Knowledge of insurance industry and marine accident investigation techniques.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).

Nice to have

  • Advanced or focused technical degree.
  • Industry designations such as INS, IEA, AIC, ARM, SCLA, or CPCU.
  • Prior personal boating experience.
