What you will do
- Conduct time studies and work measurements to establish standard work and identify improvement opportunities.
- Analyze production data such as cycle time, downtime, scrap, and yield to support continuous improvement.
- Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives, including 5S, waste reduction, and Kaizen events.
- Collaborate with operators and supervisors to improve process reliability and efficiency.
- Assist in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, or process-related equipment issues.
- Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and visual management tools.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Must be eligible to obtain the relevant security clearance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Excel, specifically for data analysis, charts, and pivot tables.
- Ability to work in a hands-on, fast-paced production environment.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement principles.
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems, electrical systems, or automation.
- Experience with data visualization tools, CAD, PLCs, or manufacturing systems (ERP/MES).
- Introductory knowledge of statistics or quality tools.
