TL;DR

Site Lead (Renewable Energy): Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of wind turbines and associated equipment with an accent on team leadership and safety compliance. Focus on diagnosing complex electrical/mechanical failures, coordinating service technicians, and ensuring operational reliability of the wind farm.

Location: Escuminac, Quebec, Canada. Must be able to travel to the wind farm within 45 minutes in an emergency.

Salary: $54 - $58 CAD/USD hourly

What you will do

• Lead and train service technicians in component assembly, commissioning, testing, and maintenance of wind turbine generators.
• Perform troubleshooting, calibration, and repair of low to medium voltage electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components.
• Conduct safety analyses for potential electrical and mechanical hazards and ensure proper use of protective equipment.
• Execute Root Cause Analyses to accurately determine the reasons for equipment failures.
• Manage tool and spare parts inventory and monitor consumables at the wind farm.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records for both corrective and preventive maintenance tasks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of directly related work experience or an associate degree/technical certificate.
• Must be able to work in Canada without company sponsorship.
• Ability to be certified and work with medium and high voltage equipment.
• Physical ability to climb vertical ladders to 100 meters and manipulate loads up to 23kg.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to the US for training.
• Fluent English proficiency for safety and operational communication.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP, J.D. Edwards, or Maximo systems.
