What you will do

  • Lead and mentor a team of Carrier Risk Investigators, managing performance and developing training on fraud trends and digital forensics.
  • Optimize carrier vetting workflows to increase throughput and implement automation through lean methodologies.
  • Define and track KPIs, conducting root cause analysis on fraud incidents to close gaps in the vetting funnel.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to influence internal risk-scoring algorithms.
  • Coordinate with Onboarding and Carrier Support teams in Monterrey, MX, to ensure 24/7 operational continuity.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for high-stakes carrier disputes and urgent fraud investigations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in freight or logistics.
  • At least 2 years in a management or supervisory role.
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule in Chicago.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with executive leadership.
  • Ability to manage team operations and multiple stakeholders simultaneously.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft and Google Suite.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience working with off-shore and near-shore teams.
