What you will do

• Support sonobuoy production and design, ensuring strict conformance to qualified designs.
• Identify appropriate materials and processes to optimize quality and manufacturability.
• Create, review, and maintain critical engineering documentation, including prints and specifications.
• Perform root cause and corrective action analysis on returned hardware.
• Collaborate across engineering disciplines and support supplier quality through DfM and troubleshooting.
• Write technical reports and present content at peer and design reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a similar engineering discipline.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering.
• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory as the role requires a US Government security clearance.
• Ability to travel up to 10% for tests, supplier meetings, and customer interactions.

Nice to have

• Proficiency with Finite Element Analysis, preferably using ANSYS.
• Knowledge of injection molding, die casting, machining, and welding.
• Understanding of GD&T and experience with PFMEA and Work Instructions.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as Solidworks, Inventor, or Creo.
