TL;DR

NPD Design Engineer (Aerospace): Owning technical execution of new product development programs from concept through production for precision technology and energetic materials with an accent on design analysis and technical documentation. Focus on executing engineering plans, performing structural and reliability evaluations, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure product qualification.

Location: Onsite in Chandler, AZ. US citizenship or permanent residency is required due to ITAR regulations.

What you will do

  • Own and manage multiple concurrent NPD engineering programs from concept to production.
  • Develop engineering plans aligned with customer requirements and program timelines.
  • Perform design analysis, including structural, reliability, and statistical evaluations (PDRs and CDRs).
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation, technical data packages, and CAD drawings.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, test, and quality teams to support prototype development and failure analysis.
  • Drive continuous improvement, cost reduction, and design for manufacturability (DFM).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of professional engineering experience.
  • Must be a U.S. Person (citizen or lawful permanent resident) to comply with ITAR regulations.
  • Working knowledge of DOE, FMEA, and DFMA.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software.

Nice to have

  • 5+ years of experience.
  • Experience with FEA tools (ANSYS, SolidWorks Simulation).
  • Knowledge of GD&T.
  • Background in aerospace, defense, or related industries.
