Mechanical Engineer (Flight Simulation)

What you will do

• Direct technical activities for large-scale flight simulation programs from requirements to final acceptance.
• Perform product development using parametric CAD modeling and create detailed technical drawings.
• Provide technical expertise during subjective and objective evaluations of training devices.
• Resolve technical problems and provide critical support to suppliers and manufacturing teams.
• Support bid and proposal processes by reviewing specifications and writing detailed technical responses.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineering team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 15 years of mechanical engineering experience or experience in a related industry.
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory due to government contract requirements.
• Eligibility for DoD Personal Security Clearance.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and logical problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work overtime, off-shifts, and be on call 24/7 for problem resolution.

Nice to have

• Experience with SolidWorks or similar parametric CAD tools.
• Knowledge of Model Based Engineering and GD&T.
• Machine shop experience and familiarity with hand tools.
• Experience with Cost Account Management and Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
• Previous experience in flight simulation.
