What you will do

• Produce build-ready drawings and models using CAD, specifically Autodesk Fusion 360 and Revit.
• Design physical systems, scenic elements, and interactive components for real-world fabrication and install.
• Determine material choices, tolerances, mounting mechanisms, and safety standards for long-term durability.
• Collaborate with fabricators, software engineers, and designers to resolve technical constraints early.
• Perform in-person prototyping and testing to iterate designs quickly.
• Support projects through the entire lifecycle from fabrication and installation to early operation.

Requirements

• Ability to commute to the studio in Needham, MA.
• 3+ years of experience with exhibits, themed entertainment, museum work, or interactive installations.
• Deep proficiency in CAD (OnShape, Solidworks, Fusion 360, and/or Revit) including parametric modeling and clean assembly management.
• Familiarity with real-world fabrication processes including CNC routing, laser cutting, welding, and machining.
• Practical knowledge of materials such as wood, metal, plastics, and composites.
• Experience designing hardware for high-traffic guest interaction and maintainability.
