What you will do

• Lead the design and detailing of plumbing and fire protection systems, ensuring compliance with QA/QC standards.
• Perform and review engineering and hydraulic calculations for fire protection systems.
• Develop value-driven solutions considering performance requirements and life-cycle costs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, electrical, structural, and architectural disciplines.
• Conduct site observations and interact with contractors during design and construction phases.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers, providing technical guidance and oversight.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in plumbing and fire protection system design.
• Must be based in or able to work on-site in Buffalo, NY or Rochester, NY.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and hydraulic modeling tools.
• Professional Engineering (P.E.) license preferred or ability to obtain.
