What you will do

• Serve as primary legal counsel for product and engineering teams from concept through launch.
• Advise on legal issues regarding data usage, privacy, security, AI, integrations, and APIs.
• Develop and drive global privacy, data protection, and AI governance strategies.
• Create scalable product launch review processes, legal checklists, and internal playbooks.
• Support GTM and customer teams on privacy-related contracts and enterprise risk reviews.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Security, Finance, and Leadership on product strategy.

Requirements

• 8 to 12+ years of legal experience, specifically in-house privacy counsel at global SaaS organizations.
• Licensed to practice law in at least one jurisdiction.
• Strong experience advising technical teams in cloud, developer tools, AI, or infrastructure.
• Deep working knowledge of global privacy, data protection, and product compliance.
• Proven ability to translate complex legal risks into practical business recommendations.
• Strong asynchronous collaboration and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with open-source projects or developer-focused cloud infrastructure.
• Privacy certifications such as CIPP/E or CIPP/US.
• Expertise in AI data governance and emerging product compliance issues.
