What you will do

• Provide legal guidance to product and engineering teams on US and global privacy, AI, and cybersecurity.
• Conduct legal risk assessments for AI/ML use cases, including automated decision-making and biometrics.
• Manage global privacy governance components including RoPA, DPIAs, DSRs, and incident response.
• Draft and negotiate privacy documentation such as DPAs, data sharing agreements, and privacy notices.
• Coordinate global privacy incident response and ensure regulatory readiness through evidence frameworks.
• Monitor and interpret US and international privacy/AI regulatory developments to align product strategy.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in privacy, data protection, or technology law.
• Law degree (JD or equivalent) and active license in at least one US jurisdiction.
• Deep knowledge of US privacy laws (CCPA/CPRA) and international regulations like GDPR.
• Strong understanding of AI governance, model profiling, and cybersecurity topics.
• English: C1+ required; Portuguese or Spanish is a plus.
• Experience in fintech or financial services is highly preferred.

Nice to have

• Relevant privacy certifications such as CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM, or EXIN DPO.
• Experience interfacing with regulators, DPAs, or supervisory authorities.
