TL;DR
Flex Senior Manager (Cash Transfers): Lead programming across 's operating countries, developing new business opportunities, building partnerships, and managing end-to-end programs with an accent on operational models, risk mitigation, and multi-layered team supervision. Focus on designing scalable cash transfer operations, scoping new markets, pursuing fundraising, and driving high-impact delivery in developing-country settings.
Location: Fully remote but must overlap with an East Africa timezone by at least 4 hours. Unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas in the U.S. or U.K. Expected travel ~50-60% on short notice to countries of operation.
Base Salary: $109,200 (US), £71,400 (UK), $77,500 (Kenya) + 10% bonus + annual benefits stipend (varies by location).

What you will do
- Own end-to-end project management, including designing operational models, tracking metrics, identifying vulnerabilities like fraud, and supervising multi-layered field teams.
- Lead cross-functional teams and directly manage one or more Managers to deliver high-quality operations and programming.
- Build team culture aligned with GD values, grow talent, and maintain relationships with donors and partners.
- Contribute to new business development: scope markets, conduct diligence, pursue fundraising, and create content for donor conversations.
- Drive communication and alignment across internal and external stakeholders including senior management, researchers, and payment providers.
Requirements
- 4-7+ years in problem-solving heavy roles (field management, consulting, analytics)
- Exceptional analytical skills to address complex operational questions and inform decisions.
- Strong communication: speaking, writing, presenting, negotiating across diverse audiences.
- Enthusiasm for dynamic environments with significant learning by doing and self-directed work.
- Comfort managing operations while building efficient systems.
- Experience working in developing-country or high-risk settings
- Alignment with values and core competencies (emotional intelligence, problem-solving, project management, follow-through, inclusivity).

- Understanding context in 's countries of operation.
- Experience in conflict settings.
- Fluency in French or Portuguese.
