User Experience Researcher (EdTech)

TL;DR

User Experience Researcher (EdTech): Conducting UX research and usability testing for a global learning platform with an accent on user empathy and data-driven design. Focus on planning experimental designs, facilitating moderated studies, and translating user insights into product improvements.

Location: Must be able to work in-person from a hirify.global office in Kitchener, Ontario or Winnipeg, Manitoba

Salary: $825 — $1,142 CAD per week

What you will do

• Collaborate with Product Designers and Product Managers to inform design on product initiatives.
• Plan and facilitate moderated UX research studies.
• Lead research operations, including participant recruitment and tool management.
• Perform qualitative and quantitative data analysis.
• Communicate research findings to cross-functional teams and leadership.
• Contribute to team meetings and knowledge sharing among colleagues.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program and will not graduate prior to the co-op role.
• Able to work in-person from a hirify.global office for 40 hours per week.
• Completed at least one research methods course.
• Experience with research design, controlled data collection, and participant recruitment.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Candidate for a Bachelor's degree or diploma in Psychology or a related field.

Nice to have

• Familiarity and interest in AI tools (ChatGPT, CoPilot, etc.).
