TL;DR
Product Design Intern (Fintech): Leading the development and management of a design system with an accent on scalable UI components, design tokens, and governance. Focus on bridging the gap between design and implementation by collaborating with product managers and front-end engineers.
Location: Hybrid in Toronto, Ontario (office 3 times a week)
Salary: $18 - $20 an hour

What you will do
- Design and build reusable UI components in Figma aligned with product requirements.
- Define and maintain design tokens for color, typography, and spacing to ensure scalability.
- Establish and document design patterns and usage guidelines for cross-team adoption.
- Collaborate with front-end engineers to align design components with Storybook implementation.
- Contribute to the development and evolution of a centralized design system.
- Participate in product discussions, sprint planning, and design reviews.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in design, human-computer interaction, or a related field.
- Foundational experience with UI/UX design and component-based design systems.
- Familiarity with Figma.
- Interest in scalable product design and design-engineering collaboration.
- Must be based in Toronto, Ontario for hybrid work (3 days/week in office).

- Exposure to Storybook or general front-end development concepts.
