Staff Product Designer, National Impact (Fintech)

Location: Menlo Park, California, or New York, New York, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week

Base pay: $191,000–$225,000 USD annually in Zone 1; other compensation zones range from $150,000 to $198,000 annually depending on location. Additional bonus, equity, and benefits are available.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end design for zero-to-one products from early concepts through national launch.
• Set the visual and interaction quality bar across typography, spacing, motion, and micro-interactions.
• Translate complex and ambiguous requirements into simple, trusted user experiences.
• Partner closely with engineering to preserve design intent and pixel-perfect fidelity during implementation.
• Build and maintain scalable design systems and patterns across the product line.
• Present design direction to senior leadership and raise the quality of design work across the team.

Requirements

• Portfolio demonstrating exceptional visual craft, precise typography, considered spacing systems, polished motion, and micro-interactions.
• Track record of shipping pixel-perfect products at scale.
• Strong fluency in design systems and consistency across expanding product surfaces.
• Ability to work in ambiguous zero-to-one environments while maintaining a high craft bar under deadline pressure.
• Experience partnering closely with engineering to protect visual fidelity through implementation.
• Ability to work from the Menlo Park or New York office with attendance at least 3 days per week.
