Product UX Designer (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid, with remote work flexibility and in-person collaboration once a week at the Seattle office. Candidates must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: Senior $170,000–$185,000 plus equity; Staff $200,000–$220,000 plus equity; Principal $235,000–$250,000 plus equity.

What you will do

• Own and evolve the design system, including decision frameworks, lightweight guidelines, and AI-readable documentation.
• Partner with Product and Engineering from discovery through development to translate ambiguous problems and business requirements into clear, testable designs.
• Set the design vision for the product area and align it with the company design strategy.
• Design end-to-end workflows for invoice approvals, multi-entity billing, vendor management, payment routing, and other complex financial processes.
• Simplify dense, data-heavy interfaces while preserving compliance and accuracy, and design trust and transparency into automated and human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Conduct or partner on user research, usability testing, and interviews; represent customer needs in roadmap discussions and mentor other designers.

Requirements

• Self-motivated and enthusiastic about building software for construction accounting.
• Empathetic advocate for customers with a customer-first approach.
• 5+ years of experience as a product or UX designer on a B2B product.
• Experience with Figma and/or other design tools.
• Ability to collaborate with product managers, engineers, technical and non-technical stakeholders, and leadership.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, take ownership, solve complex challenges, and adapt to ambiguity.

Nice to have

• Experience with construction accounting or construction ERP systems.
• Experience in fintech and/or payment processing.
• Experience in the construction industry.
