TL;DR

Product Owner (Fintech): Shaping and delivering capabilities across payments and customer details management journeys within a regulated digital banking environment with an accent on product backlog prioritization and regulatory alignment. Focus on translating complex customer needs into actionable backlog items and delivering end-to-end value through agile execution.

Location: Hybrid (Bristol, UK). Must spend at least two days per week (40%) at an office site.

Salary: £61,344 – £68,169 per year

What you will do

  • Define, prioritize, and deliver value through the product backlog for payments and customer details management journeys.
  • Ensure solutions meet clear customer needs and align with business outcomes and regulatory expectations.
  • Translate complex customer and business needs into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineers, Experience Designers, and Risk and Control partners to release capabilities.
  • Balance strategic product intent with day-to-day execution in a customer-critical environment.

Requirements

  • 4–6 years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in digital, payments, or platform environments.
  • Proven ability to define and own product visions and roadmaps.
  • Experience delivering value using Agile ways of working (Scrum, Kanban) and tools like Jira and Confluence.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills using data and insight.
  • Must be based in or be able to commute to Bristol for hybrid work (min 2 days per week).

Nice to have

  • Experience working in Financial Services.
  • Exposure to financial planning, cost control, or dependency management within product delivery.
  • Experience working with APIs, data-led products, or regulated environments.
