TL;DR

I&C Meter Technician (Kent): Installing, commissioning, configuring, and maintaining complex electricity meters (whole current, LV, HV CTO systems) for industrial and commercial clients with an accent on on-site safety, quality, and customer service. Focus on fault diagnosis and rectification, metering communication equipment installation, and accurate site reporting.

Location: Must live within ME & CT postcodes (Kent area) and be willing to travel across the UK, including overnight stays away from home.

What you will do

  • Deliver highest levels of on-site safety, quality, and customer service.
  • Install, commission, and configure all types of electric meters up to your permit level.
  • Install and replace metering communication equipment.
  • Record details of all works accurately, including reasons for incomplete jobs.
  • Conduct on-site inspections, identify faults, and rectify where safe, or report accurately.

Requirements

  • Held single and 3-phase electric metering PTO for minimum 12 months.
  • Willingness to travel and stay overnight across the UK when required.
  • Live within ME & CT postcodes.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Good customer service and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of single and three-phase domestic/commercial electrical installations.
  • Full valid UK/EU driving licence (max 6 points).
  • Ability to plan and organise activities effectively.
