Senior Finance Manager – Operations

Senior Finance Manager – Operations (Aerospace): Serve as the primary finance partner to manufacturing operations, providing insight and guidance on cost performance, efficiency, and profitability with an accent on product costing, variance analysis, and overhead management. Location: Los Angeles, CA (U.S. Person required per ITAR export controls)

Salary: $140,000 – $190,000 + equity

What you will do

• Provide financial analysis on production volume, capacity utilization, labor efficiency, and make/buy decisions
• Own product costing process including bills of material, labor standards, overhead, and variance analysis
• Analyze manufacturing variances and drive corrective actions with operations teams
• Manage overhead pools, allocation bases, rates, and lead annual rate setting and true-ups
• Lead manufacturing budgets, forecasts, long-range plans, and cost models for new products and bids
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Product Management for cost visibility and decision-making

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field
• 7+ years in financial analysis, modeling, and forecasting
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of GAAP accounting rules
• Exceptional communication skills for cross-functional teams
• Strong leadership with collaborative mentality and attention to detail
• U.S. Person status (citizen, permanent resident, or protected individual) per ITAR regulations

Nice to have

• MBA or CPA/CFA certification
• Supervisory or managerial experience
• Space industry or aerospace experience
