Focus on solving complex technical issues, establishing patterns and practices, and providing architectural guidance for hybrid cloud deployments, cloud-native microservices, and enterprise DevOps.

Locations: AMC Sydney, Australia; Madrid, Spain (Remote); Sao Paulo, Brazil. Ability and interest in travel to customers around the world, as needed.

What you will do

• Design scalable, high-availability application solutions built on Rocket Enterprise Server for customers and systems integrators.
• Lead technically alongside customer business, development, and infrastructure teams.
• Conduct proof-of-concept analysis, pilots, presentations, and trainings.
• Enable consulting partners with Rocket mainframe modernization methodology.
• Provide architectural guidance for successful global customer engagements.
• Compose and deliver technical content like blogs, whitepapers, and conference presentations.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in Computer Science or related field
• 4-10+ years leading mainframe and legacy modernization initiatives
• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, GCP, Cloud Foundry, Docker/Kubernetes
• Experience analyzing mainframe environments (COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2 z/OS, IMS, Assembler, etc.) and planning modernization
• Fluent written and verbal English
• Willingness to travel worldwide
• Relevant certifications (AWS Solution Architect, Azure, SAFe, etc.)
• Prior experience with Rocket Enterprise Server migrations preferred

Nice to have

• Hands-on with mainframe workload migration tools, code conversion, re-platforming
• Cloud-native architecture: microservices, serverless, APIs, high-availability systems
• DevOps: CI/CD pipelines (GitHub, Azure DevOps, Jenkins), agile practices (TDD, test automation)
