TL;DR
Senior Integration Assurance Engineer (Aerospace): Translate system/customer needs into quality criteria, interface requirements, and test acceptance goals for integrated satellite systems with an accent on V&V plans, integration procedures, and nonconformance management. Focus on establishing process capability with PFMEA/SPC, leading supplier audits, and aligning QMS with AS9100/AS9145 standards.
Location: Onsite in Los Angeles, CA. Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or protected individuals).
Salary: $130,000 - $185,000 + equity

What you will do
- Review models, schematics, drawings, and ICDs to ensure clean integration and protect critical features.
- Collaborate with design/test teams to develop qualification and acceptance strategies including V&V plans and ESS.
- Flow requirements into integration procedures, work instructions, and instrumentation/data capture.
- Lead nonconformance management, corrective/preventive actions, and MRB processes.
- Establish process capability using PFMEA, SPC/MSA; improve yields, ATP pass rates, and retest efficiency.
- Assess supplier capability, manage APQP/PPAP, develop metrics, and represent during customer audits.
Requirements
- BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Systems, or related field (MS preferred); 7+ years leading integration/test quality projects.
- Hands-on experience with system-level integration and acceptance testing for high-reliability products (aerospace, automotive/EV, medical, robotics).
- Strong fundamentals: ATP development, configuration management, DFMEA/PFMEA, SPC/MSA, 8D/FRACAS; MRB leadership.
- Familiar with AS9100, AS9145/APQP, PPAP; comfortable with PLM/MES (e.g., Teamcenter) and Jira.
- Environmental/functional test experience (vibration, thermal, EMI/EMC) and reliability practices (ESS, FRACAS).
- Able to obtain security clearance if required.
Nice to Have
- Supplier development and audits; practical use of GIDEP/DLA resources.
- Background in launch/space systems, UAVs, robotics, automotive EV, or medical devices.
- Building quality systems in a startup (0→1); ASQ CQE/CRE or Six Sigma credentials.
