Senior RF Engineering Technician

TL;DR

Senior RF Engineering Technician (Aerospace): Build, route, terminate, and test RF and Avionics harnesses including coax assemblies and high-frequency connectors with an accent on system performance validation using spectrum analyzers and network analyzers. Focus on troubleshooting hardware issues, supporting integration through environmental testing, and documenting results for satellite avionics systems.

Location: Los Angeles, CA. Must be a U.S. Person per ITAR export regulations

Hourly pay: $38–$48 + equity

What you will do

• Build, route, and terminate RF and Avionics harnesses to specifications
• Set up and execute RF/Avionics tests using lab equipment to validate performance
• Support testing from integration to environmental test and acceptance, including documentation
• Assemble electromechanical assemblies and develop production processes
• Troubleshoot issues on RF/Avionics hardware with engineering teams
• Mentor juniors, maintain equipment, manage inventory, and improve lab processes

Requirements

• 5+ years in environmental testing, preferably aerospace
• Experience with RF parts/components, reading drawings/schematics
• Proficiency with lab equipment (spectrum/network analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, power meters, LABVIEW)
• Work in iterative production, operate autonomously, excellent organization/communication
• Physical ability: lift 50 lbs, stand extended periods, repetitive tasks
• Must be able to work extended hours/weekends
• Familiarity with MES/ERP software

• Experience with in-space electro-mechanical assemblies
• Anechoic chamber maintenance
