Electrical CAD Technician / Designer

What you will do

• Prepare and update 2D electrical drawings from Revit-generated views, including floor plans, power plans, lighting plans, and details.
• Add annotations, dimensions, notes, callouts, legends, schedules, and organize sheets per standards.
• Review drawing sets for clarity, consistency, and coordination with architectural, structural, and mechanical disciplines.
• Incorporate engineer and project manager markups accurately and on schedule.
• Support quality control, maintain CAD/Revit standards, and coordinate with team to resolve issues.
• Prepare PDFs, plotting packages, track revisions, and assist with project deliverables.

Requirements

• Associate degree, technical certificate, or equivalent in CAD drafting, electrical drafting, or related field
• 2+ years experience in electrical drafting/design for AEC projects
• Working knowledge of Revit and/or AutoCAD in building design.
• Experience producing electrical construction documents and coordinated drawing sets.
• Understanding of electrical drawing content like lighting, power, panel schedules, and one-lines.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to follow standards, manage deadlines, and communicate clearly.

Nice to have

• Experience in commercial, institutional, industrial, healthcare, or education projects.
• Familiarity with Revit sheet setup, view referencing, annotations, and schedules.
• Interdisciplinary coordination in architecture/engineering environment.
• Knowledge of CAD/BIM standards and Bluebeam or similar tools.
