What you will do

• Review customer process requirements and develop qualification plans reflecting fab use cases.
• Validate tool performance, repeatability, and stability against specifications prior to shipment.
• Execute process testing, measure wafers, and analyze data for robustness and run-rate stability.
• Investigate and resolve performance gaps, lead escalations, and develop recovery plans.
• Document issues and provide validation reports during Factory Acceptance reviews.
• Operate deposition/etch tools, perform metrology, calibration, and assist in troubleshooting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related.
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience, including 3+ years hands-on process engineering in thin-film etch and deposition for semiconductor manufacturing.
• Strong expertise in vacuum-based thin-film deposition and etch technologies.
• Experience with thin-film characterization tools (e.g., four-point probe, ellipsometry, profilometry).
• Strong data analysis, documentation, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with magnetic or piezoelectric thin films.
• Experience with ion-source technologies (IBE, IBD, PVD).
