What you will do

• Lead the development of new hardware features and subsystems from concept to execution.
• Define system-level requirements, technical specifications, and interface definitions.
• Apply electron optics expertise to optimize system performance and efficiency.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for system characterization and data collection.
• Troubleshoot complex system failures across software, electronics, mechanics, and optics using structured methods like 8D or 7-Step.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with global stakeholders to align teams toward program goals.

Requirements

• Strong professional background in Systems Engineering and deep expertise in Electron Optics.
• Hands-on experience developing and testing hardware systems.
• Proficiency in analytical tools and scripting for data analysis.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Education/Experience: Doctorate with 0+ years, Master's with 3+ years, or Bachelor's with 5+ years of related work experience.
• Location: Must be based in or able to work onsite in Milpitas, CA.
