What you will do

• Shape the technical direction of the program and provide cross-functional leadership for program delivery.
• Mentor and coach engineering team members, defining growth goals and development plans.
• Manage hiring, performance management, and team administration including PTO and timecards.
• Partner with key stakeholders to advocate for technical solutions and communicate tradeoffs.
• Execute roadmaps for new projects and reduce system ambiguity through documentation, refactoring, and automated testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 9+ years of professional experience.
• 2+ years of mentoring and coaching experience.
• Proficiency in Java, Ruby on Rails, Docker, and Kubernetes/EKS.
• Experience with event-driven systems using Apache Kafka or similar tools.
• Must be based in the United States.
