Salary: $125,000 - $148,000 annually (base + bonus).

What you will do

• Lead design and build of services and features transforming the finance tech stack, collaborating with Staff Engineers and Product.
• Deliver customer-impacting features balancing quality and speed as a software craftsperson.
• Mentor developing engineers and contribute to engineering excellence organization-wide.
• Participate in on-call rotation.
• Build meaningful software collaboratively.

Requirements

• 3+ years professional development experience focused on backend technologies and services using Go, Ruby on Rails, Java or similar.
• Success designing and consuming APIs (REST or GraphQL) and working with relational SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL).
• Proficiency with AI-assisted tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) integrated into workflows.
• Experience designing, building, scaling payment-processing and payout systems in high-volume products.
• Hands-on integration with payment providers (Stripe, Adyen, Braintree) understanding payment lifecycles, compliance (PCI, SCA).
• Quality mindset: security, automated testing, clean code, CI/CD, feature flags, telemetry, production issue triaging.
• Collaboration with Product and Design on ambiguous problems into iterative deliveries.
