Commodity Manager (Supply Chain)

What you will do

• Develop, execute, maintain, and improve commodity strategies aligned with technology, cost, lead-time, capacity, inventory, and risk objectives.
• Research commodity markets, including industry trends, cost drivers, global pricing, lead times, and supplier capabilities.
• Lead supplier rationalization, development, dual sourcing, risk management, financial assessment, and performance improvement.
• Lead cross-business-unit and cross-functional teams on sourcing, supply, and continuous-improvement projects.
• Negotiate pricing, quality, delivery, payment terms, customer service requirements, agreements, and contracts.
• Coordinate supplier visits, assessments, audits, and improvement initiatives while addressing complex supply problems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, preferably Supply Chain or a related field.
• At least 8 years of purchasing experience.
• At least 3 years of supply chain or strategic sourcing experience.
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Comprehensive knowledge of source selection, cost analysis, negotiation, purchase justification, and documentation.
• Technical competence in interpreting drawings and specifications and understanding manufacturing processes.

Nice to have

• MBA, APICS, or CPM certification.
• Electromechanical experience.
• Experience in the vacuum or semiconductor market.
• Experience with contract manufacturing models.
