Director of Engineering

Salary: $173,000-220,000 + bonus

What you will do

• Lead Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, and Software Engineering teams, including direct, matrixed, and outsourced resources.
• Own engineering execution across the full product lifecycle from requirements to field support.
• Deliver multiple concurrent development and customer-specific programs on committed schedule, cost, and quality.
• Partner with Marketing, Operations, and Supply Chain on customer requirements, configuration, quoting, and order execution.
• Plan engineering resources aligned with business priorities and build schedules.
• Establish goals, metrics, and processes to improve efficiency, quality, and predictability; mentor and retain top talent.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or related; Master’s preferred.
• 12+ years progressive engineering experience in complex capital equipment; 5+ years senior leadership.
• Proven leadership of multi-disciplinary engineering organizations (ME, EE, Systems, Software).
• Strong system-level understanding of electro-mechanical products and full product lifecycle.
• Ability to manage high-priority programs balancing performance, cost, schedule, and risk.
• Experience with customers, suppliers, and outsourced partners; semiconductor equipment a plus.
