TL;DR
Supplier Performance Management Engineer (Supply Chain): Evaluating and developing key suppliers to ensure standards for on-time delivery, cost, and continuous improvement with an accent on technical liaison and supplier performance. Focus on driving lead time improvement strategies, conducting supplier audits, and implementing Lean manufacturing processes.

Location: Monterrey, Mexico. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

What you will do

  • Evaluate existing and new suppliers based on capability, capacity, cost, flexibility, quality, and operating systems.
  • Validate supplier supply chains and manufacturing capacity to improve on-time delivery and flexibility.
  • Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
  • Implement Lean operating systems and drive suppliers toward a continuous improvement environment.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to resolve delivery issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead supplier development projects and initiatives to support broader business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in supplier development, industrial/manufacturing engineering, or supplier quality.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing, capacity planning, and quality systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
  • Ability to travel up to 80% and work onsite at supplier sites.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • Proficiency in English and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Project).

Nice to have

  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.
  • Proven experience driving supplier lead time improvement strategies.
