What you will do

• Drive environmental stewardship programs across GM facilities.
• Manage air, waste, and water compliance, including permitting and regulatory reporting.
• Develop and maintain environmental management systems (EMS) using modern technology.
• Collaborate with regulatory agencies and cross-functional teams to implement sustainable solutions.
• Monitor environmental parameters and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Oversee plant systems including wastewater discharges, storm water, and chemical usage.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering or a related science.
• Experience with environmental regulations, specifically Air Permitting, Storm Water Permitting, and/or Hazardous Waste requirements.
• Proven ability to execute projects and work independently.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship (H1-B, OPT, STEM OPT, CPT, TN, J-1, etc. are not supported).

Nice to have

• Specific degree in environmental engineering.
• Knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing operation environment.
