Quality Control Supervisor (Aerospace)

Location: Carson City, Nevada, United States; onsite aerospace repair environment.

What you will do

• Coordinate receiving, strip, and final inspection activities and assign work across the inspection function.
• Supervise NDT operations, including X-ray, fluorescent penetrant inspection, airflow, and ultrasonic testing.
• Oversee metallurgical laboratory activities and serve as the technical authority for inspection quality.
• Maintain compliance with AS/ISO standards, quality system manuals, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Review shop travelers, technical manuals, and document-control processes before release.
• Develop the team through testing, certification, cross-training, mentoring, and performance evaluation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of 5–8 years of current industry experience.
• Extensive knowledge of aerospace turbine engine repair, inspection processes, and analytical problem-solving.
• Ability to read and interpret complex specifications, manuals, and procedures.
• Previous experience leading technical teams in a production or repair environment.
• Ability to certify to Level II in at least one NDT discipline.
• Strong computer, organizational, documentation, and customer-facing communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Part 145/21 certification inspections.
• Eligibility for industry-specific repair certifications, such as FAA Repairman certification.
