Quality Engineer II (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Evaluate product and process requirements, inspection results, and quality documentation for compliance.
• Perform inspections, process monitoring, validation, first article inspections, and process verification.
• Maintain quality records, inspection documentation, nonconformance reports, audit documentation, and QMS data.
• Analyze quality metrics, defect trends, process performance, and inspection results to identify improvement opportunities.
• Support root cause investigations and corrective and preventive action activities, including tracking and effectiveness verification.
• Collaborate with quality, engineering, operations, manufacturing, supply chain, program management, and finance on manufacturing readiness and quality objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality engineering, industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related field, plus 2–5 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of quality assurance, manufacturing quality, process improvement, quality planning, inspection methods, process control, and product verification.
• Experience with inspection documentation, nonconformance reporting, CAPA, quality reporting, and quality management systems.
• Knowledge of quality standards, root cause analysis, statistical process control, measurement systems analysis, process capability analysis, audits, and continuous improvement.
• Experience with QMS applications such as ETQ Reliance, Arena QMS, or MasterControl, and statistical tools such as Minitab or JMP.
• Must be eligible under U.S. Space Technology Export Regulations as a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, conditional resident, asylee, refugee, or other protected individual, or be eligible to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations.
