Quality Inspector (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Penrose, Colorado, United States

Salary: $20–$27 per hour base salary

What you will do

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final visual inspections of materials, components, and finished products against engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Identify surface defects, workmanship issues, inconsistencies, and deviations, using calipers, micrometers, and gauges occasionally as needed.
• Record inspection results and non-conformance reports while maintaining traceability and audit-ready logs.
• Tag and segregate non-conforming material and communicate issues to supervisors, production, engineering, and quality management.
• Support internal audits and corrective and preventive actions under the direction of the Quality Manager.
• Perform manual visual inspection tasks related to energetic material processing while following safety procedures and maintaining a clean work area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of quality inspection experience in manufacturing, engineering, or construction.
• Strong visual acuity and the ability to identify small defects and verify parts against blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with quality systems and documented inspection procedures, such as ISO 9001.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation habits.
• Must pass an internal visual acuity test and be eligible to work as a U.S. Person under applicable ITAR and EAR requirements.
