Service Technician (Wind Energy)

Location: New Ross, Nova Scotia, Canada. Must be authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship and be able to travel to the US for onboarding and training.

Salary: $35 - $40 CAD hourly

What you will do

• Repair and maintain wind turbine generators and associated equipment at the wind farm.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance activities to ensure reliability and performance.
• Support 24/7/365 operations, including rotating shifts, overtime, and on-call duties.
• Conduct safety analyses of energy sources and electrical/mechanical hazards before starting work.
• Assist in Root Cause Analyses to determine and resolve equipment failures.
• Complete Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO) and other mandatory safety documentation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or degree in a wind, technical, or engineering field.
• 0-1 year of experience in the wind industry.
• English: Fluent spoken and written proficiency required for safety and collaboration.
• Physical ability to climb vertical ladders to 100 meters and manipulate up to 23kg.
• Possession of a full valid driver's license and insurability.
• Must meet weight requirement of 120kg or less for the use of climbing gear.
