Public Sector Sales Lead (Enterprise Health Plans): Build and grow public sector book of business across state, city, and county health plans and government-sponsored programs with an accent on strategy, execution, and selling enterprise solutions into public buyers. Focus on owning go-to-market, driving net-new revenue, navigating government funding and procurement, and building internal alignment for scalable revenue.
Location: Remote within the US (Austin, TX preferred for key collaboration moments)
Salary: $130,000 - $150,000 + commission

What you will do
- Define and own go-to-market strategy for public sector buyers including state Medicaid agencies, state employee plans, city/county plans.
- Build targeted account lists, territory plans, positioning, narratives, and commercial models tailored to public sector realities.
- Drive end-to-end sales cycles: prospecting, discovery, solution shaping, RFP responses, contracting, and hand-off to implementation.
- Expand existing health plan relationships into public segments and scale pilots to multi-year programs.
- Map decision-makers, build relationships, and lead RFP/RFI responses across Medicaid agencies, health departments, and procurement teams.
- Shape public sector offerings with Growth, Product, Clinical teams and model ROI with Finance for public buyers.
Requirements
- 7+ years enterprise sales in healthcare with track record in public sector or government-sponsored programs (e.g., Medicaid agencies, state employee plans)
- Deep familiarity with Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, public sector dynamics including quality, equity, total cost of care.
- Experience leading complex multi-stakeholder deals with long cycles, RFP processes, cross-functional coordination.
- Strong understanding of government funding, budget cycles, waivers, grants and aligning offerings to them.
- Ability to translate clinical programs into economic cases for public decision-makers.
- Excellent communication for proposals, RFP responses, executive presentations.
